Simon Choate – Joint Owner / Director
Simon has been part of Greenwood Electrical since 1994 when he first started as a 1st Year Apprentice. Straight from completing year 12 at Assumption College and eager yo learn , he got stuck into the trade and never looked back.
Fast forward a few year, and in 2001, Simon became an owner of the business along with Kevin Mills And Paul Hobden – the very same company where he learned the ropes. Since then both Paul and Simon have led the team with a hands-on approach, a strong work ethic, and real passion for the trade.
With over 30 years experience in the Electrical trade, there’s not much Simon hasn’t seen or done. He’s built a reputation for being reliable, down-to-earth , and always focused on delivering top- quality work – no shortcuts, no fuss.
Paul Hobden – Joint Owner / Director
Paul started his electrical career with Greenwood Electrical in 1986, beginning as an apprentice and quickly proving his dedication to the trade. He became a fully qualified A-Grade Electrician in 1990 and continued to build on his skills with over 10 years of additional electrical studies, earning a Diploma of Electrical Engineering from RMIT in 2000.
With close to 40 years at Greenwood Electrical, Paul brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience across all areas of the industry – from domestic and commercial projects to complex industrial installations, service, and maintenance.
Paul works closely with his business partner Simon to lead the team, mentor staff, and ensure every project – big or small – is delivered to a high standard, with a practical, can-do approach.
Over the years, Paul has built strong, long-term relationships with clients, colleagues, and friends. Known for his honesty, discipline, and reliability, Paul takes great pride in the quality of work Greenwood delivers.
Rowan Stott – Qualified A Grade Electrician
Rowan has been a dedicated and highly skilled Electrician with Greenwood Electrical since commencing employment in November 2015. Successfully completing his apprenticeship during his early years with the company. Over the years, Rowan has demonstrated reliability , attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. His long tenure with Greenwood Electrical reflects both his loyalty and the trust placed in him by clients and colleagues alike.
Blake Rudge – Qualified A Grade Electrician
Blake has been a valued member of Greenwood Electrical since 2020. Successfully completing his apprenticeship and has developed into a very competent Electrician. Dealing with clients to complete projects and jobs with great detail and quality.
Maclaren Forbes – 3rd Year Apprentice
Maclaren is currently in his third year as an apprentice at Greenwood Electrical, where he has continued to develop solid technical skills and a strong grasp of industry standards . With keen attention to detail and willingness to learn, Macca’s reliability and dedication to quality work are evident and a great asset to the company.
